Founded in 2015 by visual artist Clotilde Viannay, the L'Incroyable Magazine focuses on adolescence as a pivotal moment in an artist's career. Dedicated to Jim Shaw, the second issue decodes the influence of American pop culture on his work. Under the title "Satan à Pughkeepsie", Alex Mar considered Shaw’s interest in satanic cults and the fascination with Charles Manson in 1960s California. Golgotha created a series of illustrations that reinterpret Magic game cards, using cabalistic witches' symbols. Thanks to an aesthetic suffused with symbolism, the studio was able to activate Satan and Beelzebub mythologies.
